New Features/Improvements

 

Payment Status Notifications

Forte has added a payment status notification feature to Dex to help merchants with the migration from Virtual Terminal (VT) to Dex. Payment status notifications are email notifications that are sent to merchant users and customers if a certain transaction event occurs. Merchants mainly use the notfications to update customers about payment statuses. The notifications are also useful for tracking payment statuses on the merchant side.

Payment status notifications are located in Dex at Manage > Notifications. Users must be at a merchant org level to access the notifications.

A default template is provided and may be customized using drag-and-drop fields. Users can also:

  • Add a logo to the notification.
  • Preview the notification.
  • Return the notification back to the default template.
  • Delete custom notifications.

Users with permissions can create the following notifications:

  • Sale Approved
  • Sale Declined
  • Refund/Credit Approved
  • Refund/Credit Declined
  • Schedule Created
  • Upcoming Scheduled Payment

Dex users with one of the following roles will be able to create, read, update, and delete custom notifications that have been created for their merchant organization:

  • Merchant Admin
  • Merchant Manager
  • Enterprise Admin
  • ISV-Support

Dex users with one of the following roles will be able to view custom notifications that have been created for their merchant organization

  • Enterprise User
  • Enterprise_View Only
  • Mechant User
  • Merchant View Only

Rate Plans

Two new columns were added to the Create Rate Plan template to display portfolio buy rates and the estimated profit margins when a user enters the pricing for fee items.

  • Added cost (the portfolio buy rate) and estimated profit margin to rate plans (create, edit and rate plan details)
  • Rate plans will display the portfolio buy rate in the rate plan and will calculate the estimated profica margin as the user enters the price in the rate plan.
  • The following roles will have visibility to the cost and profit margin columns in the rate plans:
    • Sales Reps
    • Sales Managers
    • Forte employees

 

BillPay R2.05.1 Dynamic File Processor Release Notes

New Features/Improvements

 

Grouping ID Functionality

  • Added the ability to pay the first installment fee before the second installment during a split payment.

Error Messages

  • When there is an error uploading a file, the row number in the bill file (CSV, Tab, Pipe, and Fixed Length-Delimited File formats) with the error shows.

Update Account Information

  • Accounts include database updates along with the bills DB, based the file that uploaded into the system, to reflect the correct account information. This ensures that the system auto detects account changes and reflects the correct owner of the bill.

Correct Label for Installment Fields During Split Payment Options

  • BillPay users who have the split payment feature can see the correct label against their split payment option.

New Features/Improvements

Accessibility

Forte Checkout is now Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant with conformance to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Section 508. This is part of CSG Forte’s ongoing initiative of being an accessibility mature organization. These guidelines are often required for any ICT (Any technology providing digital content to an end consumer) purchased or sold by the Federal Government.

New UI enhancements means FCO is more perceivable, operable, understandable and robust. Information is available via multiple means, such as alternatives to text, and users can interact with content through a variety of methods. Content is presented so that end users can understand the meaning, and Forte Checkout works across multiple operating systems, browsers, and assistive technologies.

UI updates include clear and concise labels to make it easier for end users to navigate the application, and input validation errors are now displayed in a text format with a red outline on the input field to aid users in understanding exactly what the error is and how to fix it. A timeout warning has been added so users can extend the session. This provides user with more time to read content and perform functions.

Funding

  • Added a new column, Return Date, to the Funding Datagrid. The column is populated when a funding entry has a status of failed.
  • Added a new field, Return Date, to the Funding general card. The field is populated when a funding entry has a status of failed.

Freshdesk Requests

  • Canadian postal code throwing error in Business Info section of online applications – Routing Number must belong to the Company Country (State / Province) which user entered in the postal code field. If these conditions are not met, then the application displays a validation error, and the user is unable to submit the application. Updated the application form to highlight this error. (FD: 727396)
  • Increase Order Info display to 30 characters on the Transaction Datagrid due to truncation making it hard for the merchant to track refunds. Order info display on the Transaction Datagrid has been increased to 30 characters. (FD: 713056)

BillPay – QR Code for BillPay Portal

New Features/Improvements

QR Code

Based on the feedback received from the Customer Advisory Board, Forte has implemented a QR code feature that allows government merchants to share the BillPay Portal link with their customers, making it easier for customers to submit payments over the web. Merchants can post a copy of the QR code that enables a merchant’s customers to do contactless payment right from their phones.

Merchants can generate a QR code from their Dex Profile and share it with their customers in print or electronically. Check out a live demo by the product team on an internal video here.

Core Processing – ACH Processing R1.0 Release Notes

New Features/Improvements

Same-Day ACH Limit Increase

This feature enhances the same-day ACH process and enables an increase in the ACH limit. Now the ACH limit has been increased to $1 million. The original transaction limit was $100,000 prior to this enhancement. Same-day ACH is a process that allows both credit and debit transactions for processing on the same day these have been transmitted before the cut-off time each day. This service provides flexibility for our customers to pay on-time, provide faster crediting to late payments, and crediting account to account transactions.

New Features/Improvements

 

Merchant Billed Monthly Invoices

  • Merchant Billed Monthly Invoices are available at the Location level of the Documents tab.
    • Path: Location>Location Detail>Documents tab
  • Only merchant admins and CSG Forte can view the documents.
  • Users with permissions can view/download the document file.
  • Documents tab includes the last 12 months of invoices.

Dex Merchant Approval Invites

  • An email is automatically sent to invitees who receive a Merchant Approval invite and have not registered/accepted the invite prior to the expiration date.
    • Invitation expires eight days from the date the reminder is sent.
    • Only one reminder is sent.
  • Reminder invite: Thank you for choosing CSG Forte. This is a friendly reminder that your payment account with Forte is ready for processing. Activate and log into Dex, your merchant portal platform, to manage your payment operations.

Attachment Updates

  • Updates to Application/Organization Detail
    • Renamed the Attachments tab to Documents.
    • These changes are only at the Location level.
    • Renamed “Attachment” references to “Documents” throughout the documents card.
      • “Upload Attachments” reference has been changed to “Upload Documents”.
      • “Change Attachment” reference has been changed to “Delete Attachments”.
      • “Delete Attachment” has been changed to “Delete Document”.
      • If no document has been uploaded within the Attachments tab the icon/attachment has been changed from “No Attachment” to “No Documents”.

Receipt Updates

  • Credit Card and eCheck Receipt Updates
    • A status for Transactions has been added under the amount to Credit Card Debit/Sale, Credit Card Authorize, Credit Card External Authorization, eCheck Sale/Debit, eCheck Authorize and eCheck Force receipts.
      • A status of Approved, Declined, or Voided for the Credit Card Transaction has been added to display on Detailed Receipts when printed in Dex.
    • Transactions with an unsuccessful response (Declined, Failed, Rejected, Voided or Unfunded) will now suppress the message “Thank you for your approved payment to “Merchant Name” in Dex.

Card Services Updates

  • Card Services updated to be automatically set to “Both” when the user manually activates Card Services @ Locations>Location Detail>Products and Services>Card Services.

Bugs Addressed

  • An improvement has been added to correct transaction amounts when performing a transaction or schedule in Dex. Prior to the improvement, if a user entered an amount of 10.00, the total amount would show 100.00. A new masking module has been added to correct the add transaction, add schedule, and edit modal.
  • A rounding issue was corrected to transaction amounts after masking module addressed.
  • MA template was corrected to include a missing Accept Invite link.
  • For a Deleted Location, the Migrate option has been removed if a parent org id exists.
  • Disabled the Transaction button until Total Amount of the credit card transaction has been calculated.

Transactions Datagrid

  • Added a column for the latest settlement date for a transaction in the transaction download file.

    • Users can click on the ellipsis on the right side of the Transaction Datagrid and select Print Detailed Receipt.

Merchant Application Datagrid

  • Updated Partner Name filter to Portfolio Name.
  • Enabled the ability to search by Portfolio ID to more filter selections.

 Updates to Removing the SalesRep Role from a User

  • If the Sales Rep role is removed from a user or a user with a sales rep role has a status of suspended:
    • User is removed from the portfolios they are attached to.
    • Username/information is not available when Add New sales rep is selected in Portfolio>Sales Rep
    • Username/information is not available in the list of sales reps for the portfolio on the Sales Rep
    • User ID is not removed as a sales rep from existing rate plans or applications that have been created.
  • If a user’s status is set to “deleted”, their name/information is not available in the list of sales reps in the Portfolio>Sales Rep

Dex Invites

Bugs Addressed

  • Fixed the funding Reference ID search – all the Reference ID was not displaying in search grid
  • Unable to print a standard receipt for eCheck transactions – enabled the ability to print standard receipts for eCheck transactions.
  • Issue with the Funding Datagrid showing two transactions with the same funding ID for different years/merchants – updated the code to pass the Location ID along with the funding ID so that the corresponding details and transaction are pulled. FD #701206

Partner Profile Implementation

Dex has added the ability to add a Sales Rep to a Portfolio.

  • The roles Admin, Sales Manager, ISV Support, ISV no support, ISO no Support, Base Implementation, Credit Enrollment I, Cust_Relationship_Manager, Base_Cust_Relationship will be able to add Sales Rep to Portfolios.
  • To add a Sales Rep to a Portfolio, the person must be a Dex user that accepted their invitation to join Dex. They must have the role Sales Rep and belong to the Partner Organization the Portfolio belongs to.
  • When added, a Sales Rep ID will be generated and assigned to the user attached to this Portfolio.
  • Sales_Manager role can be assigned to a portfolio

Create New Rate Plan

When creating a Rate Plan in Dex, the specific Portfolio will have to be selected.

Location Level Settings

  • Updated the look of the card services section on the location detail>products and services tab
    • Added the card network logos that the location is enabled to accept
    • Added the card types that the location is enabled to accept:
      • Accepts Credit Cards
      • Accepts Debit Cards
      • Accepts Credit and Debit Cards

Benefit to Customers

  • Optimizing the Dex Transaction Datagrid improves its the load time and performance, giving the customer an improved experience with faster search results.
  • Auto-subscribing Merchant and Partner Admins to IP Allow List notifications makes Dex more secure and improves the user experience for the Admin.
  • Receipt enhancements provide additional transparency to the consumer and helps merchants with troubleshooting.

 

New Features/Improvements

 

Transaction Datagrid Optimization

To optimize performance and load times, improvements were made to the Transactions Datagrid:

Filters

  • The ability to select the Response Codes filter from More Filters was removed.

Amount Column

  • The card type (Debit/Credit) under the dollar amount was removed and moved to the Transaction Details screen.
  • The currency designation (i.e., USD) was removed from the dollar amount hover tooltip and moved to the Transaction Details screen.

Dispute Indicator

The dispute indicator was removed, but is still visible when viewing transactions related to a specific Funding ID.

Additional Columns

  • The ability to add Dispute ID as a column to the expanded Transactions Datagrid was removed.
  • The ability to add Principal and Service Fee columns at the corporate, partner, and enterprise level was removed.

Other

  • To improve data downloads times, a 500,000-record limit was implemented on the number of records allowed in an export request.
  • To improve the thoroughness of downloaded data files, the Transaction ID and Dispute ID columns were added to the Transaction Datagrid export file. Additionally, the Principal and Service Fee columns were added to all Transaction Datagrid export files at the corporate, partner, and enterprise levels. At the merchant level, the Principal and Service Fee columns are only added if they are displayed on the expanded Transaction Datagrid in Dex.

IP Allow List Notifications

To strengthen Dex security, the IP Allow List Notification subscription process was updated with the following improvements:

  • All IP Allow List notifications for current users with a Merchant Admin, Enterprise Admin, ISO No Support, ISV No Support, or ISV Support role are automatically enabled. Subscribing to IP Allow List notifications for these roles is only for the home organization and not the organization’s/enterprise’s hierarchy.
  • Dex automatically enables IP Allow List Notifications when a new user accepts a Dex invitation for a Merchant Admin, Enterprise Admin, ISO No Support, ISV No Support, or ISV Support role or when one of these roles is added to a user’s profile.
  • Dex will disable IP Allow List Notifications when a user is deleted from a Merchant Admin, Enterprise Admin, ISO No Support, ISV No Support, or ISV Support role or when one of these roles are removed from the user’s profile.

Partner Profile Implementation

Users with the proper permissions can now view all the Sales Representatives attached to a specific Portfolio.

Dex Receipt Enhancements

  • Location ID and Auth Code now display in the receipt preview within the Transaction Details screen.
  • If a transaction does not include a service fee, the Service Fee field will be hidden on all corresponding receipts.

Freshdesk Requests

  • Merchants reported receiving errors on the Add Transactions Modal when they did not enter the account holder’s name. To remedy this problem the Account Holder Name field is now mandatory on the Add Transaction Modal.
  • Users reported issues with opening transaction receipts. A fix was released to correct the print dialogue issues caused by a recent Google chrome update. This affected Transaction receipts, the MSA Details screen, and the MSA list.
  • Dex fix fix was released to capture the User ID when deleting a webhook.
  • The transaction detail receipt view now displays xdata fields 01-09 (FD-578691).
  • The Merchant Application in Dex had misspelled Vendor. This ticket updated the spelling and changed the term “Website” to “Business Website” (FD-603249).

Bugs Addressed

To improve the Attachments modal, a fix was released to warn the user that the selected file type was invalid. It also disabled the upload button until the invalid file type was removed from the modal.
